Rested above the stratosphere
And studied Obama.
In the electoral woodland,
They saw Obama bloom.
Recipients of another time’s torment
Rested above the stratosphere
And felt smiles for Obama
Express Juneteenth rapture.
They felt Obama’s speeches
Wed their ears.
Recipients of another time’s torment
Rested above the stratosphere
And saw Obama
As the first rosewood tree
For the acres they were promised.
