Wishing I could make myself care
Clock out here just to clock in there
Graduation me PLEASE
Stressed, Depressed, feelings repressed
Sometimes life just isn’t fair
Roam around tired and aching
I'm tryna smoke
My commute like a hike
So why not try to find some beauty
The graffiti on the walls scream genius
The variety of shops and stores taunt gentrification
Tho catcalled, I almost feel more comfortable
My Blackness is radiant across each block
The scrubs on the street have no game
I marvel at their unrealistic confidence
I’m tryna smoke
My limbs are heavy but so are the memories
Georgia Ave once so foreign
But I roll up on the Yard with ease
Lay back on the flagpole and Inhale
Close my eyes while I breathe out
In five minutes, I’ll be ready again
