Spirit partners, soul mates
entwined like tangled umbilicals
through blue-black ethereal beforetimes;
they always find their way
through the tunnel maze of
white light and angel dust.
to face each other as lovers,
friends,
and once as twins.
Each time he has brought to her
precious stones--
lapis luzili,
malachite,
amber;
picked them from the milky way
and hung them at the cleaves of her.

travel across millennia
together and alone;
connected by a cosmic thread,
they always find their way back home.
